This pad is a little overpriced for what you get.
First of all, this still gives a practice pad feeling, not a marching snare drum. The sound mimics a marching snare drum but it’s only loud and not helpful at all (for me). The rims are not bad.
The dot in the middle comes off very fast and starts to move around (in my case, after like a week).
My feeling is that this product is a failed copy of the snare drum pads made by Xymox Percussion.

Es gibt deshalb nicht 5 Sterne, da es nicht stimmbar ist. Die Schrauben, die wie Stimmschrauben angeordnet sind, halten den Ring mit dem restlichen Pad zusammen. Das Design ist da wohl wichtiger gewesen - Rimshots kann man sich mit Fantasie quasi nur "hinhören".
Schade, dass der Schritt nicht mehr gemacht wurde, denn die Idee mit dem "Teppich" Imitat auf der Rückseite ist nett.
Für das was es dann letztendlich ist, ist es sehr gut verarbeitet.

This is the nicest pad i currently own. It sounds crisp, and you can actually hear if your playing on time. It has a clear center dot to make the laminate last longer, but i put a kevlar falam slam on it just to be sure. Big plus for the metal hoop, it probably will not break.

The thing that lacks is the adjustable snare mechanism. In the original design you can tighten the snares, or mute them. This model doesn't do either. This is a licensed product that shouldn't cost as much as the original. And the lack of snare adjustment should lower the cost even more.

But this is still alright choice if the original design is out of reach.

Man bekommt etwas für sein Geld.
Das Pad ist als Lizenzprodukt gekennzeichnet, aber leider steht kein Herkunftsland -weder auf dem Pad, noch auf der Umverpackung- darauf.
Als erstes fällt die Schlagfläche auf, die aus einem Carbongewebe besteht.
Wenn man die acht Rundkopf Innensechskantschrauben zur gänze löst sieht man, daß die Schrauben im Korpus in Gewindehülsen greifen und daß die Carbonfläche auf einer ca. 1mm starken PVC ähnlichen Zwischenschicht an einem beigen Hartplastik aufgeklebt wurde. Das Rim ist glaube ich aus einem Stahl, der nachträglich lackiert wurde. Daß sich die Schrauben zum Stimmen der Schlagfläche eignen ist mir leider nicht aufgefallen.
Auf der Unterseite erkennt man zwei halbkreisförmige Schaumgummimatten mit einem 35mm großen Spalt dazwischen, die ein 90mm Stahlblech einrahmen, daß in die Korpusmitte (ich nehme mal an lackiertes Mdf) eingelassen und von vier Außensechskantschrauben mit Rundkopf verziert wurde. Verziert deshalb, weil diese Schrauben lassen sich zwar in beide Richtungen drehen, werden dabei aber weder fester noch lockerer!
Wenn man das Pad schüttelt, hört man ein leichtes Rasseln, was an 5 bis zehn Minikieseln liegen könnte, die niewieder das Tageslicht sehen werden.

Habe ich mir eine Rassel, die besonders leise und schwer ist(ca. 2k) gekauft?
Ja.

Das Pad ist gut für Dynamikübungen, weil sich geringe Hübe schon bemerkbar machen. Der Rebound ist knochenhart und hält einem den Spiegel vors Gesicht.
Der Rimsound ist ziemlich laut, weshalb ich das Pad eher im Proberaum malträtieren werde.
Werds jetzt wieder zusammenschrauben...
