Amazingly useful

versatile extension

Used this with my QU-16 on tour . 5 different venues in 8 days. Easy to set up and it was very versatile with monitors. With the 50m digital cable it saved space and weight compared to a standard "snake"

Durchdachtes Gerät

Die Stagebox ist vornehmlich als Ausleger konzipiert, nicht für den Rackeinbau. Das ist sehr gut gelungen, man kann sie mit den Anschlüssen nach vorne oder oben hinlegen oder senkrecht hinstellen. Die Stahl-Frontplatte erlaubt eine Beschriftung mit Magnetlabels, die Datenübertragung zum Mixer funktioniert perfekt auch in Kombination mit einer AR2412 als erste Box am Strang.

Was mir nicht so gefällt ist, daß die AR2412 unbedingt das erste Gerät am Cat5-Strang sein will. Das wäre schöner wenn man die Reihenfolge beliebig gestalten könnte.

Außerdem wäre es IMHO bei solchen Geräten sinnvoll, einen Ground Lift an den Eingängen vorzusehen und Combo-Buchsen Klinke/XLR zu verbauen. Da die Preamps hier auf der Bühne und nicht wie früher im MIxer sitzen, st die Entfernung für eine unsymmetrische Verbindung oft akzeptabel und so könnte man sich für Keyboards u.ä. eine externe DI-Box sparen. Eine Pegelanpassung wäre nicht erforderlich, da die Preamps ohnehin sowohl mit Mic als auch mit Line Pegeln klarkommen.

Das ist aber alles auf hohem Niveau gejammert, die Box tut was sie soll und macht einen soliden Eindruck, deshalb 5 Sterne.

Der Preis ist allerdings schon ambitioniert - vergleichbare 16/8 für AES50 würden die Hälfte kosten, passen halt nur nicht an die A&H-Mixer.
