Here is my review about this interface

After several days of working with this interface I do like it a lot but there as some Pros and Cons. The quality is excellent of the preamps, and it is really easy to work with. It has a nice touch and all the features are very handy. But there is one aspect that I am really not enjoying, which is the output signal that goes to my monitors, the quality is not as I expected, first impression was, wow it really sounds great but now, after several mixes, I have to say the the highs are more on dull/harsh side than being "musical", it is starting to hurt my ears... I thought would be the quality of the audio but it is really the quality of output of the ID14 that is harsh on the high end frequencies. I didn´t had any of this issue on my previous interfaces.
Another thing is, it gets really warm... I can warm up my tea If I wanted.

Update:

After I´ve read in some forum that the sound of this interface will become better after 50 hours of usage, I gave it a try.. and result is very very positive. The dullness and harshness completely gone and now is sweet as candy. Great output sound. Thanks for the lack of this info Audient.

I just wish it could have an ON/Off switch.

So I am keeping it.

Estava a procura de uma interface com qualidade, expansível e "barata". Penso que depois de todas as comparações que ouvi em termos de pré-amplificadores, esta foi a que se revelou a melhor, e não desiludiu, pelo contrário. Com a possibilidade de entrada ADAT mostrou ser uma das melhores compras que fiz, pelo som muito clean tanto nos prés quanto na entrada "DI" de intrumento. Comparando com outras placas da mesma fasquia monetária, sem duvida a melhor escolha!

Após 1 ano de uso, posso afirmar que esta interface tem o melhor custo x benefífico do mercado, na minha opinião. Com controles bem feitos e conexões honestas, posso indicar para qualquer usuário, seja amador ou profissional.

The most "popular" review on this site is a disgruntled customer who may have received a unit that got past inspection in poor order or else was damaged in transport. This does every other positive an injustice. My experience of this unit after two weeks has been excellent so far.
Pros:
DA Conversion: Superb - I have interfaces from Zoom (R8), Tascam (US 16-08), Behringer (404HD and UMC 1820, ADA8200 Pre's), Native Instruments, Maschine Mk 3 and ocassionally I use the Digitakt as a DAC when operating in a DAW. I can safely say my unit has by a very audible margin the best output audio quality of any of the aforementioned. The Behringers may beat it in output volume (the 404HD in particular) but the claritiy of the audio with the ID14 is exceptional.
2) Loopback: This features allows you to flawlessly record incoming audio from any source within your computer directly into your DAW. A particularly nice feature for podcasters and OBS users as well.
3) Build is excellent, but I expect that from a "premium" product.
4) 8 x 48K ADAT inputs. This means I can offload the UMC 1820 and the Tascam and upgrade my monitors :)

Cons: wish it had a 5 pin din in/out like all the other units I have.

Highly recommended especially for the additional features.
