It's raining!

I bought this for my experimental project. I was expecting it to be a little louder but it really gives this effect of rain. It comes in handy for cinema effects as well, I've already lent it to some cinema students. Saves them a lot of trouble acquiring rain effects!

It sounds soothing and beautiful and can make a rain sound for a long time. Also works great as a shaker, it sounds more gentle than actual shaker so it complements it nicely.

Good sound, feels fragile

I'm not sure if all brands feel a bit fragile like this one. Maybe it is normal but I recommend extra caution and care when transporting this. All in all a good buy. I like the sound. I've heard nicer and more subtle rainmakers though. But it's okay.

Fantastic rain sounds and shaker

I have a few different shakers and decided to get a rainstick/rainmaker as well.

You can really hear the sound of the balls inside hitting the spikes in this rainmaker, and it sounds "wooden" rather than plastic or synthetic.

It also sounds great as a shaker, a bit of a warmer/woodier tone than other shakers, although a bit cumbersome compared to an egg shaker!

Feels nice quality. You can draw out the sound for at least 20 seconds (I think 40seconds was the longest I managed to get out of it), but it pays to have a longer rainstick so this one ticks the box.

Can't go wrong for the price.
