This is a very good quality tailpiece. It is 10,6 cm long with a high quality craftmanship.
This is also one of the smaller tailpieces available for 4/4 violin which also allows a lower pitch for the string length bridge-tailpiece. Personally, I prefer not to tune this part with open strings as some harmonics can sound harsh in some violins. The final result also depends a lot on your instrument.
While this dimension tends to work good with different violins, it really can make the difference on some violins, generally lighter ones.

The nylon tailgut that's included works quite good. In case, you can experiment with a kevlar one to see if the sound of your instrument can benefit from it although this operation is not for everyone.

Decent ebony tail piece

This is a nicely made simple tail piece. The ebony used is a bit lighter than other harder denser ebonies. In fact, it is a bit lighter than the Tintul tailpiece, which is in between hard ebony and boxwood in terms of weight and density.

Personally I prefer the Conrad Götz ZA350-115 Violin Tailpiece, because the ebony is harder and more polished.

Tailpiece should corespond with size of an instrument so this one is great if you have smaller violin. It is hard to find shorter as most producer will make 115mm as a standard lenght so great that Conrad Gotz offer them in different lenght. Good wood selection also.

Um eine Speicherfund-Geige wieder herzurichten brauchte ich einen neuen Saitenhalter Geliefert wurde ein fein gearbeiteter Saitenhalter in wirklich guter Qualität und inkl. Hängelsaite mit Schraubverstellung. Sicherlich gibt es auch billigere Saitenhalter, sicherlich gibt es die auch schon inkl. Feinstimmer billiger. Wer aber nicht nur billig sondern gut will, der ist mit diesem Saitenhalter sicher gut bedient. Bei den Feinstimmern wollte ich nicht sparen, denn nichts nervt mehr als ein Feinstimmer, der sich nur mit Gewalt bewegen lässt. Die dazu bestellten Wittner Feinstimmer passten ohne Probleme.
