The Air Norton is available here for the currently growing in popularity by nu-metallers 7-stringed guitar. It helps brings even the lower strings to a clear and assertive neck pickup sound, staying always warm and dynamic. Just the "attack crack", which with humbuckers often sinks into the sludge, is here always audible even with the low B-string.

This is a very versatile pickup. I bought this pickup as I was looking to for a neck pickup that would grant me a fluid lead tone for legato runs and fat bluesy lead tones but would also give me a warm clean tone and it has a delivered. I have it, along with a Dimarzio Blaze installed in my Ibanez rg7421 and it does exactly what I wanted. In parallel this pickup also achieves a very nice spanky clean tone that is perfect for funk. The quality of the pickup is brilliant as you would expect from a company like Dimarzio. I prefer their use of molded plastic of Dimarzio's bobbins.

Great tone

I use this pickup on the bridge position.
I had problems with the definition on my low strings, because i use quite thick ones (80 in drop A).
This pickup clears the low-end and makes it prfect for riffing in a drop tuning.
Another great product from DiMarzio!

Es ist häufig der fall, man kauft 7 saitige gitarre, die schön ist, aber die hat tonabnehmer mit viel zu hohen ausgang. Es ist gedacht, dass 7 saiter nur für metal bereich gut ist.

Ich wollte ein instrument haben, der überall gut wäre, von jazz bis heavy. Air Norton für neck war besser als gut dafür, schöne klang, klar, warm und dynamisch, mit bishen mehr gain lässt er gut krachen.
