Best measurement mic

A bit pricy, definitely worth the money though and it's a one in a lifetime purchase, if you take good care of the mic of course.

Beiliegender, offensichtlich individueller Meßschrieb zum Mikro von 700 Hz bis 30 kHz ! Darunter keine Angabe, ebenso nicht zur Phase, auch nicht auf Nachfrage bei Earthworks. Da muss man wohl dem Prospekt vertrauen.
Bzgl. Phasenverhalten, gerade im Tieftonbereich liegt das M30 günstiger als ein zum Vergleich dienendes, aber altes MCE20, kann hier aber keine Qualitative Aussage machen. Die hohe Grenzfrequenz zeigt mir ihren Vorteil bei LS-Messungen im Zeitbereich. Empfindlichkeit ist sehr hoch! Es bedarf schon einer ruhigen Umgebung fürs messen! Ergo, ein tolles Produkt.

Ein perfektes Messmicro - bei mir zum Lautsprechereinmessen mit FIR Filter.

Zuerst habe ich mich gefragt ob sich die Steigerung zum vorherigen Micro lohnt - das Micro ist ja nicht so günstig das man es einfach mal mitnimmt. Es ist ja „nur“ zum Messen.

Im Nachgang: Ja eindeutig ;-). Ich möchte es nicht mehr missen

Die Messergebnisse sind eindeutiger - der eingemessene Lautsprecher noch feiner in der Auflösung.

Eine Super Entscheidung für ein super Micro

Very nice high quality mic!

Use this for loudspeaker measurement via my Steinberg UR22mkII USB external soundcard (which has phantom-power).
Measurement is done in REW (Room EQ Wizard).
Mic comes with a calibration file (sent to you by Earthworks). Calibration file is then imported to REW (or other software of or liking).
Very nice microphone.
Maybe a little over my budget for my needs but I can be certain the measurement is done as good as it gets in this kind of application.
