Using this for electronic percussion.

I'm using this Gibraltar clamp to expand my Roland Octapad to expansion triggers.
So I got the Roland tripod PDS-10 Pad Stand, there I attached this Gibraltar clamp, to which one I attached the Millenium DB-115 Cymbal boom arm, to which one I attached the Millenium MPS-300 Mono Cymbal. And so the reason why I chose this clamp is because it offers the possibility to play with different inclination and angles, inclination gives you more reaching distance and that's the advantage of this clamp, the cymbal boom arm doesn't need to be straight, it can be inclined and provides more distance, which I need for my Mono Cymbal MPS-300 which I use as electronic Hi-Hat at a descent distance away from the Roland Octapad so that it will not disturb my drumsticks traveling from the Hi-Hat or the Snare Drum to the Octapad.
I'm glad to have this product, and why I chose this clamp over a traditional cymbal stand, because I wanted to have as less stand legs as possible so it makes it easier for pedals and for cleaning the floor ))
Cons - A bit overpriced, but as long as I have no complaints regarding quality then it's fine.

A sturdy and solid clamp, just like you would expect from Gibraltar! I like that it has rounded corners, accidentally hitting your hand into a sharp metal corner is not fun at all. I'd say it's a must have clamp, sooner or later you'll run into a situation where this clamp can solve your problem. Or you want a holder for Roland SPD SX or something similar!

It's a clamp

It is a really well-made clamp that does its job.

It's super steady with a minimal amount of effort to tighten it in almost everywhere.
I personally use it with a Nord drum 3p on my tom holder, and it is super easy to adjust its position.

The design of this clamp helps me to put a boom arm to wherever I want, and it still looks great. I never really liked the "straight" clamps, a bit boring design. Sturdy and quality item, but it should wear a chrome coating to look better under stage lights. This one has a matt finish.
