Gutes Ausgangsmaterial für Stege von Gitarren und Akustikbässen

Da ich an einem Akustikbass einen neuen Steg machen musste, habe ich dieses Saddle Inlay als Rohmaterial bestellt. Der Rohblock war mit einer Dremel-Fräse für die Grobarbeiten und diversen Handfeilen und Schleifpapier gut zu bearbeiten und in 30 MInuten war der Steg fertig. Vorher war ein Kunststoffsteg drin. Vorher-Nachher-Klangvergleiche, die nicht unmittelbar hintereinander stattfinden, sind bekanntlich immer sehr subjektiv und täuschungsanfällig. Mit meiner langjährigen Erfahrung traue ich mich dennoch zu sagen, dass der Bass mit dem Knochensteg jetzt auch über den Piezopickup runder und wärmer klingt; auch etwas lauter, weil die Auflagefläche jetzt etwas größer als vorher ist und die Grundfläche sorgfältig plan poliert wurde. Gutes Material zum fairen Preis!
