Bin Jazz-Profi-Saxophonist und bin von Fiberreed überzeugt.
Ich spiele am Tenor und am Alt mit einem Metall-Mundstück und es funktioniert sehr gut.
Man muss nur darauf achten, welche Blatt-Mundstück-Kombination (insbesondere Bahnöffnung bei Mundstück) man wählt. Denn ich spiele beim Tenor ein Forestone Hinoki + Otto Link RockyGiglio *8
und es funktioniert sehr gut. Wenn ich aber das Onyx spiele, ist der Sound zwar mega (also viel voller und voluminöser), aber dann bleibt einen auf lange Sicht die Luft weg (was aber eher an der Kombination und nicht nur am Blatt liegt). Deshalb vielleicht mit einen Mundstück mit geringerer Bahnöffnung kombinieren (einfach ausprobieren!) UND die Position des Blattes (also wie weit es vom Rand des Mundstückes weg ist) hat eine Auswirkung auf die Ansprache + Klang.

Fazit: Super Alternative! Weiter so, Fiberreed!
