Jakob Winter JW 51015 4/4 CAB Violin Case

First of all: yes, I recommend it!

I bought it because I was looking for a lightweight, sturdy, not expensive case as I was about to go on for a long backpacking trip with my five-strings violin that is slightly bigger than an average violin.
I wasn't disappointed at all and I still love and use it, after nearly two years, now.

It is also good-looking, with a carbon-like look (it is not carbon, but very much alike).
More than one told me "wow bro, cool case!".

My violin-maker also recommends this case to whoever asks her.

There are some cons.
The small flap inside the case is a tiny bit loose... which doesn't change a thing. My spare and old strings + a few cards + the rosin still hold there. This case is meant to be lightweight anyway.

Also, there could be just a few more milimeters so that the shoulder rest had just a tiny bit more space under the violin's neck. But again, I still have space for it so what am I complaining about?

Last of cons list: you still don't have it. Why? Buy it! For real!

Ich habe mir den Jakob Winter Violin Case als Ersatz für meinen kaputten Geigenkoffer besorgt. Mir war wichtig, dass mein neues Violinetui meine Geige gut schützt aber gleichzeitig praktikabel für unterwegs ist. Dadurch, dass das Etui sehr leicht und klein ist, kann ich es gut mitnehmen. Die Geige wird auch sehr gut vor Stößen und Regenwasser geschützt. Perfekt für Menschen, die viel unterwegs sind und ihr Instrument mitnehmen müssen.

Leichten Abzug bei den Sterne gebe ich für die Schultergurte, die nicht besonders ergonomisch sind. Das Etui sitzt dadurch sehr locker auf dem Rücken.

Außerdem gibt es ein wenig Abzug, weil ich nach nur ein paar Monaten Probleme mit einer Schnalle habe, die sich aber nach ein paar Versuchen immer wieder schließen lässt. Sie ist also nicht kaputt, sondern klemmt nur.

Trotzdem handelt es sich um ein topp Produkt, das ich immer wieder kaufen würde.
