Brilliant udu well worth the money. Brilliantly crafted with a ruff surface all the way round to create an extra tone that you don't get with other udu drums. Fantastic delivery by thomann as usual.

Habe aus der Serie von LP noch das Modell Utar und spiele beide als Paar. Die größere Utar ist aber wesentlich robuster, wie sich herausgestellt hat. Die Claytone 1 hatte nach relativ kurzer Zeit bereits Kratzer und bei einem leichten Anstoßen mit dem Rucksack während des Transports ist sogar schon eine kleine Ecke am Hals herausgebrochen. Konnte notdürftig geklebt werden und beeinflusst den Sound zum Glück nicht, aber dennoch ärgerlich. Der Sound ist durchsetzungsstark und obertonreich. Ein Instrument das zum Experimentieren einlädt: ich entdecke auch nach Jahren immer wieder neue Möglichkeiten, sie zu spielen, neue Sounds, usw.

Ce udu fait de très bons sons "woop" par ses 2 orifices, mais le reste est décevant.
Sa paroi est trop épaisse (1,25cm) pour sonner (comme un ghatam) lors des frappes.
Son cul est rond donc nécessite un support et ne reste pas en position, de plus il est de la même épaisseur que le reste donc ne donne pas de son différent.
La peinture empêche de faire des sons frottés, et elle se décolle avec le bouchon du trou micro.

A mon avis toute la gamme LP est comme ça et je ne comprend pas comment son concepteur qui a étudié auprès des maitres africain à pu commettre de tels oublis.
