The ultimate XLR...
...with a timeless design. These really need no improvement, and the newer XX series is, IMO, mostly just Neutrik's way of refreshing their patent since this one has expired and is now free to copy. I don't blame them by the way. There are very minor improvements that make the XX able to survive a slightly larger nuclear detonation than the X, but I think the main difference is that the X looks respectful/understated and the XX looks individualistic. I for one don't like to call attention to my connectors and prefer them to blend in with the equipment, so the X series is the winner.

Great connectors!
Strong and solid connectors. I prefer them over the new Neutrik connectors. Because these have thread above the metal housing and not below like the new ones. If you have more money, spend it on gold plated ones.

The best Xlr connectors
The sturdiest and most durable xlr connectors. You cant go wrong here. A bit expensive but it makes up with the ease of use, longevity and clean sound. Definitely recommended.

Over the years I have made up my own cables. From time to time I have used other brand plugs but with regret. You can depend on the quality of Neutrik.

There are only two brands to consider if you want reliable connections. Neutrik is the best of those two. With the current prices, I am not buying anything else.

the best xlr
i preffer black coating for xlr, good quality, I have these xlr now for some time, the do not ware out do not get bend, they are really strong.
