Das GB-1 hat mich nicht nicht überzeugt und ging leider zurück. An der Verarbeitung ist nichts auszusetzen – verchromter Kühlergrill, Ganzmetallkonstruktion und ein wertiges Kabel mit robustem Stecker hinterlassen einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Aber der Klang überzeugte mich gar nicht. In meinen Ohren war er spitz, nasal, sehr höhenbetont und verrauscht.
An meinen Röhrenvorstufen sollte das Mikro für den klassischen coolen Dreckssound sorgen, d.h. ein Mikrosound mit verwaschenen Mitten, leichter bis mittlerer Röhrenzerre und Druck. An keiner meiner Vorstufen gelang ein vernünftiger Sound. Zuallererst ging alles im Rauschen unter, da das Mikro sehr unempfindlich ist. Die nasale, spitze Höhenbetonung machte den Klang zu keiner Freude. Wozu es dann noch ein Poti hat das die Empfindlichkeit nur herunterregeln kann ist mir rätselhaft.
