How nice that there is such a thing!

Our band is equipped with different microphone stands with small (3/8") and large (5/8") threads. We wanted to eliminate this so that we didn't always have to screw the threading converter in and out of the microphone clamps.
We chose this product for our large threading stands, which we leave on the stand for the long term. No need to show off K&M quality, it works, it lasts and it's done.

Good Thread Adapter

This is special screw Thread Adapter that i have buy to try to arrange different heights for MS recordings with two microphones mounted on double microphone bar stand and it works together with standard thread needed for K&M stands. You can use more of them in combo to get heights you need for you microphones and projects.

Does what it's supposed to

I've used this 'K&M 216 thread adapter', to mount the 'K&M 211/1 boom arm' which is 3/8 thread, to an 5/8 threaded mic stand.

It does it's job well for over 2 years now.
The adapter is strong & robust, and makes a flush tight fit between the two. The internal threads/grooves holds well and doesn't slip.

The outside texture makes it easy to grip, screw on & tighten by hand.
The un-screwing after use might be a bit rougher for the more delicate finger tipped among us.
One might opt to use pliers to un-screw for the sake of comfort.
But over-tightening is far from necessary.

Too bad it's not available in black.
Since most mic stands & boom arms are black, it would've made this adapter less visible to the eye.
Something the R&D at K&M should consider ;)

does what it is inteded for

Needed two adapters to be used for some cheap mic stands to attach a better quality booms. works perfectly. Helped transform some mediocre mic stands to be used as overheads for the drums. Not a perfect solution but it worked. a great tip if you have some ok mic stand, is to buy some of the K&M boom and attach them to the mic end of your mic stand to add some additional angle adjustments.
