Great strings
From a novice perspective, and I am definitely a novice on the lap steel, these strings sound just great to me. They have a nice resonance and the slide moves around on them with ease. The tone is deep and quite earthy, not particularly "bright" (although they are not lacking in treble they don't sound overly trebly as some new strings can, which I don't really like)
Bought these for my Harley Benton lap steel and they suit it perfectly well and were easy to fit. I'm not experienced with more expensive strings but from a sonic point of view and with knowing how a lap steel "should" sound (as opposed to how it sounds when I attempt to play it) I would say these strings are a very worthwhile investment.
I'm not sure on the longevity of the strings as yet but I'd imagine as with most lap steel strings that they'll last a substantial time compared to my guitar strings as the playing style for lap steel is very different and less aggressive/wearing on the strings (I play mostly death metal/grindcore stuff on guitar and more country stuff on slide).
Simple, cheap and effective - why pay more ?

Aloha Heaven
Used these on my Gretsch Lap steel. Very clear, with nice overtones. Took a bit of use, beer , sweat and the tonebar being dropped on them a lot. They just mellowed nicely with age too. I would definitely recommend these.

I found these strings a little bit short. I just barely got them on and they slipped a bit when I put them on first because of this.

Good but short
My lapsteel is a converted Gsharp guitar. The d and g strings where useable but short. Sound is great!

Not the best, but...
Better than the dead strings supplied on a lap steel I purchased from Thomann recently. These strings certainly improved the playability, but were ultimately discarded and replaced by a set from Fender. But given the price of the Pyramid set, then they were OK.

B11 string set
It was great to get a B11 set at this price, so I could try those close harmonies not possible in the strings typically used on lap steels. I have used them frequently, and will buy another set when these degrade

Lap Steel Strings
Pyramid Lap Steel C6 set work really well, I'm fairly new to lap steel playing so can't compare to many others but they do seem easier to use than John Pearse ones, the wound 24 is better than a steel 24 for my instrument. They are cheap too so that helps if experimenting with tunings. The last set I got had a 46 instead of 40 in the pack but Thomann supplied the right one straight away
