Schecter C-6 Pro Aqua Burst

Am procurat chitara aproximativ de 4 luni in urma, am avut nevoie de ceva timp pentru a imi face o parere corecta asupra acestei chitari. Pina a primi acest Schecter drumul meu de muzician am parcurs cu Epiphone special edition II, insa ea nu imi era deajuns pentru a primi placere in timpul concertelor. Prima ce am observat vazind acest Schecter C-6 este frumusetea ireala a acesteaia, arata cum mult mai bine decit e pe poze, mi-a venit deodata in gind: " aceasta chitara nu poate avea un sunet rau". Dupa care luind in mina si incercind a scoate ceva sunete observ comoditatea acestui instrument, griful sibtire, placut la atingere te face un shreder de care nici nu stiai ca esti. Am avut putina frica inainte de a conecta la amplificator, dar a fost inzadar fiindca chitara suna minunat, dozele Schecter Diamond Decimator emit un sunet puternic, clar si placut, am primit o mare placere cintind in deosebi metall la aceasta chitara. Dupa un timp am inceput a gasi minusurile acestei chitari, am fost nevoit de a da mesterului pentru a regula griful si tastele care putin proeminau, la fel am fost nevoit sa cobor corzele putin mai jos. Pentru procura multumesc echipei Thomann, chitara a ajuns foarte repede bine impachetata fara nici un defect cosmetic. Deci in fine, peste 4 luni de explorare pot face o lista de avantaje si dezavantaje a acestui instrument.

Let's start with the good things. The first pro of this instrument is its weight, I have never held such light guitar. The body and neck are both very thin, so I can say that it is one of the most comfortable guitars.

Next is the design of this instrument, as you can see it is a very handsome guitar but the only thing that you should keep in mind is that the green color is not fading into the black color as I thought but into blue. In some video reviews, you can see that sometimes the blue color is extremely well seen. You can check the FR version of this guitar to understand what I mean.

Now about the cons. The first thing that I have noticed is that the sound seems kinda flat, I cannot get that desired "meat" tone from this instrument. I am not sure why is it like this, because the pickups seem very aggressive, but maybe it could be because of the thinness of the body. I have never believed/seen that the wood of the guitar somehow extremely impacted the guitar sound, but maybe this is my first time seeing it.

The second con and one of the important ones are electronics. I am very dissatisfied that new instruments are having some issues like this. The issue is with the volume knob potentiometer when it is almost at 100% the signal is cutting out and while using this knob I can hear the crackle in the sound. I know that this is a fast fix, but a new instrument should not have issues like this.

In the end, I can say that this instrument could be my "working horse", I am really satisfied with the weight and comfort as it makes the guitar easier to play for me. But a crucial defect in electronics is breaking all of the satisfaction during usage of this instrument.

This is the second guitar (not instrument) i own, and i am very happy with my purchase. My previous guitar is a cort-m200.

Features:
I choose the hard bridge instead of floyd rose, hoping for a better built guitar without all the bells and whistles. And i am impressed! It stays in tune, and the body really sings. The neck has a nice natural a fast feel.
The coil tap function produces an acceptable strat sound, which can be pretty fun to play around with.

Looks:
The finish quality on this guitar is hands down above expectations. The top is gorgeous, and the mask has no errors whatsoever. The body is a nice 3-piece, although i have seen a 5-piece as well...
The only issue i have is the fretboard, which is not rosewood and has some glue residue in the grain from the fret install.

Sound:
I don't really have the experience to weigh in on this. I mostly just thrash on the bridge pickup, which it does quite well. You can of course easily switch out the pickups.

In conclusion:
A stunning guitar with great build quality and decent sound

Die C6 von Schecter kam leider mit schief eingebauten Humbuckern und einem kleinen 2 cm Kratzer an der Buchse an. Über den Kundenservice wollte ich die Gitarre austauschen. Dieser hat mir wiederum einen Preisnachlass angeboten. Okay, früher oder später hätte ich die Saiten sowieso gegen die NYXL und die Mechaniken gegen die Schaller Locking Tuner getauscht. So habe ich das Angebot angenommen und bei Thomann weiter investiert. Mit dem Fret Rocker bin ich über alle Bünde. Auch hier habe ich drei Stellen gefunden die nicht passen. Die Bünde habe ich nicht geschliffen - aber poliert. Neu besaitet machen sich die Deadnotes leider durch schnarren bemerkmar. Es ist nicht super schlimm und nervt mich beim Spielen nicht. Trotzdem wäre es schöner gewesen, wenn die Bünde perfekt abgerichtet wären.

Nun zu den positiven Dingen. Man bekommt für das Geld richtig viel Gitarre. Dreiteiliger Mahagonibody, wunderschöne Pappeldecke, Ahornhals und die Mechaniken sind auch absolut okay. Die Humbucker sind wirklich gut. Allerdings könnte man da natürlich noch in PUs aus der A-Liga investieren. Ansonsten macht ein Austausch keinen Sinn. Insgesamt wirkt die Gitarre deutlich hochwertiger als es der Preis vermuten lässt. Eher aus der 1.200 € Klasse. In dieser Kategorie spielt die Schecter nicht, da es doch erhebliche Qualitätsmängel gibt. Wer bereit ist im Fall der Fälle bereit ist gleich Hand anzulegen, bekommt eine super Gitarre. Es könnte natürlich sein, dass ab Bestellung alles passt - da braucht man aber wahrscheinlich sehr viel Glück. 😉
