At the price Thomann do them at it is a good way to get a half decent stick so you can try out different weights and tips etc. Always handy to push over the free shipping limit as well.
Nova sticks are rejected Vic Firth standards. They've failed quality control in some minor way, usually weight, shape, grain and thus balance. It doesn't mean they make poor sticks however sometimes the Millenium ones are a genuinely nice stick for less money without the potential quality control issues having been sold sight unseen.

Great budget product.
These are the cheap option when getting Vic Firth sticks and because of this they get a lot of criticism from drummers using more expensive sticks. I however find them to be brilliant and last longer than most other cheaper sticks, I have frequently used these touring and come back with many unused sticks. They do tend to chip slightly easier than the more expensive models but I would say these are a surprisingly good product for the cheap price and will definitely be buying them again. Great price from Thomann to.

Cheap and easy
Nice light sticks. Dont feel bad tearing through a pair as they are cheap but generally takes a good thrashing anyway.

Best bang for the buck
These are my go-to sticks I use when rehearsing and playing live. They feel great - not too rough or slippery. These sticks are reasonably balanced and the weight is not too light, which I prefer.
From what I have experienced, these sticks are just as durable as higher-priced drumsticks. I have had issues with sticks breaking in the past, which is probably connected to my subpar playing technique. Now although these sticks are quite cheap, they last relatively long compared to other models.
In general, I find these sticks to be the best with regards to their price. I would suggest there is nothing better in this price range.

Excellent value sticks
A great quality pair of sticks and superb value for money compared to the main ranges from leading brands. I gig regularly and have found these sticks to last as well as the much more expensive alternatives. The weight of the sticks is good and consistent and the finish is great.

Sticks with splinters
The quality leaves much to be desired, all the sticks are splintered and poorly processed, they are unpleasant in the hand. I definitely do not recommend purchasing.

Great quality for the price
These drumsticks really hold their own against more expensive lines of drumsticks. They have a very nice bounce to them and are ridiculously durable. One pair of sticks lasted me nearly 4 months playing 3 or 4 times a week for 2/3 hours. This might not sound like long to others but they’ve lasted much longer than any other promark or wincent sticks I’ve used previously which are twice the price. Highly recommend for practice and gigging

Great sticks, natural feel, good sound, light, feels like the natural extension of the arm.
I would personally prefer few centimeters longer grip section (bottom of the stick), but anyway - a great drum sticks for both practice and gigs!

Great value for money.
These sticks are great. The Vic Firth Nova Series is a grade B hickory drum stick range for the drummer or percussionist on a tight budget. Although they are cheaper than the premium line don't be fooled - they're tough, feel great and are positively affordable! Hats off to Thomann for the excellent service as usual. Very happy customer!
