Overpriced but does the job
Using this to clean up staccato riffing and avoiding having to mute everything on my 8-string when tapping/playing high leads. Some say it's a crutch, and I guess they're not wrong, but any way to get results is good, right?
Decent quality, sticks out further from the fretboard than I thought it would. The plastic 'loop' that the velcro strap attaches to on the back of the neck of the guitar feel kinda cheap and are sewed onto the strap.
It does the same thing as a hairband, but with more style and versatility.
No real downsides to this fretwrap aside from the (in my opinion) high price, but if you can see past petty penny pinching and are looking to clean up your playing for recording or tapping/soloing, this is definitely the way to go.

Great when recording
I noticed some extra noise from the strings ringing out, even when I manually muted the strings. A bit of investigation and it turned out to be the head part of the guitar.
Originally I used a headband to mute the strings but it looks a bit silly. Then I found this, which I now use all the time.
It's really useful when recording to keep the noise away.

Choose a size bigger
According to Gruvgear's guide this one should necks up to 8.5cm width. I got this for a neck that is 8cm wide and the fretwrap almost doesn't fit. I can only attach the very end of the strap and it often goes loose. So I would recommend going for a size bigger than you need. Apart from that it has great quality and works well.

Dampens ringing sounds well
Does it's job well, but can easily be replaced by some kind of foam. Looks ALOT better though. Bought this for my Ibanez 7-string but easily works for all my Ibanez 6-strings.
