Power in a small box
I bought the Stomp to try out the digital world and I was amazed! Line 6 has done an excellent job on the whole Helix system and this product is a good choice if you want to try out the Helix family or if you just want a more compact solution than what the bigger siblings offer.
It’s doesn’t sound or feel just like a tube amp and pedals, simply because it isn’t. But that is not necessarily a bad thing. It’s just something else. But I ended up selling my two amps and all my pedals and upgraded to the Helix LT after a while and I don’t miss the big heavy gear at all! For me the stomp and the other Helix products are versatile, compact, lightweight and it sounds amazing once you get to know it. And it’s worth diving into!

Great pedal for bass players
This is a great pedal!
I am a bass player and I use it for practicing at home, in the rehearsal room and during gigs. It contains all the effects you could ask for as a bass player and it is pretty simple to use.
As for all compact units. it is somewhat simpler to create and edit sounds using a computer (with HX Edit) on a large screen instead of fiddling with the knobs, but the user interface is not bad at all.
This small device has replaced my pedal board completely and since it is so small, I carry it in the gig bag together with the bass. At home, I use an additional power supply so I can just unplug the HX Stomp and bring it with me without tampering with the power supply and its wiring.
For bass players and guitarists with average requirements, I can really recommend this unit. Our guitarist in our band has HX Stomp's big brother Helix. While it offers more computing power, i.e. more effects at the same time, and a larger screen etc, it also has a footprint about 5-6 larger than the HX Stomp. And yet, they can both use the same sounds.

I have sold all my pedals and now use only the HX stomp.
Finally a pedalboard in small format and with usable sounds. After spending year stressing over pedals, signal chain, tone loss, etc, I have sold all my pedals and use only the HX stomp.
I was first a bit scared of it because it has so many functions and things to program and customize (it is basically a small computer with a lot of power). But the good thing is that, while you can go very deep into editing, if you are not into that (like me) it also has a very simple and easy to use interface to get you playing right away.
Great piece of gear, small and portable.

Äntligen en setup som fungerar. Jag kör HX Stomp efter mina normala pedaler (allt möjligt, sällan mer än 1 på åt gången) och kan via Stompen välja in en förstärkarsimulator (men utan högtalarlåda-simulering) och mata min fender transistorförstärkare som spelar högt och rent, men är en bra 2x12 låda. Det är perfekt match!! Och sen använder jag givetvis alla fantastiska effekter i Stomp också när de passar. Älskar gamla fuzz-emuleringar och 70-talsmodulationseffekter
