Mycket bra kvalitet i sin prisklass!

En mycket bra crash i sin prisklass som dessutom står sig väl mot dyrare varumärkens instegsmodeller.

Great Value Crash
Joe Smith 20.01.2018
I was dubious about spending money on lesser-known brands like Millenium from Thomann - however, with Thomann's house-brands before I've had good experiences, and at the low price it's at, I had to at least try it and see if it was worth the money!
My first impression of the cymbal were that it looks very high quality and professional. However, the cymbal quickly collects finger marks and stick marks shortly into use.
I originally bought this crash expecting to use it as a secondary crash, to do some hard rock and metal beats on. However, I find the cymbal sits best as a primary crash because of it's high volume and long sustain.
It has a fairly low, clear tone (especially for a 16 inch) and a bright, loud bell sound. The bell is also extra pronounced on the cymbal and is much easier to hit.
Pros:
+Cheap, b20 bronze cymbal and is greatly value
+Clear, loud and explosive sound that sits well in rock and metal music
+Feels thick and so is lilkely to last a little longer than some other cheap cymbals
Cons:
-Not the kind of cymbal you would hit as a beat
-Cymbal and finger marks are an issue for some

Better alternative to the big brands low end cymbals!
z1gor 10.02.2018
As a drummer, i have a main set with a bunch of expensive cymbals, and a secondary set with cheap cymbals that i use in things like rehearsals and such.

After owning a bunch of cheap cymbals from the big brands like sabian b8, paiste pst3/5, zildjian zbt and so on, i decided to try the cheap cymbals from the Thomann brand "Millenium", and so far, it was one of the best decisions ever.

The crash is B20, unlike the cymbals at this price range that are either brass or if you're lucky enough, b8. B20 is the material used in high end cymbals, keep that in mind.

The crash itself is loud and has a decent sustain. The finish is good enough for this price range and overall it's in my opinion, much better than the low end cymbals from the big brands.
So you can compare, this costs the "same" as the paiste 101 16" crash, and as someone who played 101 before, if i had to choose between this and the 101, i would pick this crash without looking back.

Pros: really cheap, B20, decent finish, durable (thick cymbal)

Cons: sounds like a rock/metal crash and i prefer thinner sounding cymbals (not a con actually, just my personal preference)

Excellent

It's a B20 cymbal for less than most entry-level B8s.

It has a clear, bright tone without the appalling clang of a cheap B8 16 Crash. I used it as a crash on a church kit for several months and it was surprisingly versatile .. rideable at moderate volumes without washing out .. responsive as a crash, and great for cymbal swells.

It's now on my practice kit, alongside a small Bosphorus Traditional Series crash, in which company it holds its own very well (and I speak as a big fan of Bosphorus cymbals).

You can't go wrong with this cymbal.
