Revv G3 , a new king on the dist scene

Good sounding overall and with the powerful TREBLE knob for all voiced amps/CABs and different aggression boost modes its VERY versatile.
Like other dist named after amps, you never get the 100% alike feeling and sound but for the price close and bang for the bucks,

There is a few dist pedals i.m.o. in the top and with slight different voicing they complement a wide range,
The difference vs this one is that I can reach the sweet spot without using an extra signal freq boost before them, tighten em upwithout beeing fizzy or too treblish ( as with Randall Face punch, Fortin Grind, Maxon 808 etc. )
Along with the Friedmann OD BE , Diezel VH4-2 and KHDK D.B. this one alone with the TREBLE - LEVEL - DIST and aggression level can reach low gain, crunch separated tones to metal dist.
for example;
Into your old combo with bad dist - set it in CLEAN mode and you got yourself a new tight metal machine .
Lined into DAW from Torpedo CAB and IR speakers, the aggression OFF or Blue mode also works great with Two-Notes in built pre amp software. Just sweet spot set the signal-dist.treble levels and there you go.

If I had to choose only one dist pedal , this is the one. Was critical to all reviews uphaussing it but it's really a number one well sounding from solo to chug.
If I could add one thing to it, it would be like KHDK D.B. an internal
built noise gate.

Ett riktigt Metal-monster

Gimme Gimme Revv G3 16.05.2021

För hemmabruk eller på scenen, Revv G3 levererar alltid! Ja, den är tänkt för Metal, men läs gärna de små tipsen från Revv du får med i kartongen, för andra ljudinställningar (till exempel kombinationen: low gain, hög volym). Själv använder jag Revv G3 för inspelning i studio, men pedalen är rejält byggd så den har sin självklara plats på pedalbordet, live. Den går lika bra i effektloop som direkt in i förstärkaren.

Revv G3 är också perfekt för dig (och mig) som har en kraftfull förstärkare som inte har inbyggd gain (dist). Den ger dig fantastiskt Lead ljud för melodier, men även tight komp. Om inte annat: ett rackarns bra komplement till andra dist pedaler.

Minus: pedalen är dyr; det är bara så. Men av en bra anledning!

Love it! So rich and brutal!

Love the Revv G3. Good quality hardware. Great sound. Really nice full hi-gain distortion with a tube like feeling. I play brutal death metal and love this. Reminds me a bit of the Cannibal Corpse sound with the right settings. But you can get a wide variety of sounds, also getting this more dense modern brutal death metal sound if you like as well.

Very versatile and suitable for many sounds. The EQ is very powerful, which means that you can dial in really awesome sounds, as well as the opposite.
