Great allround cymbals

After a lot of research I decided to buy this set. I needed an upgrade from my old Paiste cymbals, and I knew that Zildjian always deliver great sounding cymbals.

The 14" New Beat Hi-hat is great, really brings you back to the classic hi-hat sound with a lot of stick definition but not too bright.

The 16" and 18" Medium Thin Crashes both have a warm sound that cuts through, but not too much in my case where I only have to cut through a guitar, bass and of course the song.

*Update after 5 months* The 18" Crash recently developed a large horizontal crack which made the cymbal unplayable. I'm very disappointed with this since the 16" crash has taken a lot more beating but has no cracks.. This is even after taking very good care of my cymbals and cleaning them from time to time. I will talk to Thomann about this since there is another review with the exact same problem.

The 21" Sweet Ride, where do I begin? Definitely my favorite cymbal so far. The ride is great, the bell sounds good although might be a little weak But when you crash it you really get that warm, big sound. It has quickly become one of my main crashes.

This package from Zildjian is not only extremely priceworthy, but also good for the drummer who plays anything from fast and hard rock to smoother jazz-style.

I did also look at the Zildjian A-Custom Cymbal Package, but I would probably recommend it for those of you who need to cut trough more and heavier sound, for example metal.

Överraskning

Detta var ju lite på chans, att köpa ett helt set med cymbaler. Highhat och crashar var bra. Sweet ride var en överraskning, den uppför sig lite som en jättechrash.

Fantastic as expected :)

From the first hit u make to these cymbals, u can feel the quality.

Very soft sound, and u dont need to hit hard to make them sing....

A bit softer then brilliant A custom series. Clear sound and extremly easy to record and produce. Cuts trough heavy guitars like a knife :)

Tryed it with funk also... Band was smiling from ear to ear :)

All in All fantastic product for this price...

Great cymbals FOR THE PRICE

I love these cymbals and have gigged with them a couple times, recorded too, and am very pleased overwall with them considering the price I paid.

All cymbals sounded great out of the box and weren't hard to get a nice sound out of through the mic's (which is less to do with the cymbals, but still)

My only problem is that - around 5 or 6 months I think - the 18" crash i bought with this set developed a large crack. As an experienced drummer I am fully aware that the way i'm playing COULD have caused this, but I'm certain it's just the weakness of that cymbal.

That said, the ride sounds amazing, truly amazing, the bell is a little weak but the crash sound of it stands up to some ofthe better cymbals i've heard in my time.

The 16 inch ride is one of the best crashes i've heard to my taste. Fast decay, but bright attack.

The hi-hats are a little bright to my taste, but then again I usually play 16's.

Overall, a very good sounding set despite some issues, which are in the process of being fixed.
