Space-saving workstation

The Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk is a compact workstation, specifically designed to meet the demands of both recording and music production. The workstation offers a 120cm wide working surface, a raised shelf for a monitor and a pair of studio speakers, and a pull-out tray for a small master keyboard. Two internal 19" racks, each with five rack units, allow the installation of additional audio interfaces, preamps, and other hardware. If you are looking for a compact and well-organised working environment at home or in a project studio, the Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk is a real bargain.

Space-efficient design

The Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk's raised shelf is 120cm wide, like the working surface, thus providing ample space for a single monitor and two compact nearfield monitor speakers commonly used in home and project studios. The two 19" racks, each with five rack units, are located centrally under the shelf, so that built-in hardware can be easily accessed from the workstation at any time. The pull-out keyboard shelf, measuring 1005 x 400mm, can accommodate a small master keyboard or other controllers. A very handy feature are the headphone holders attached to both sides of the desk. A slightly more spacious alternative to the SD-120 is the Millenium SD-180 StudioDesk, with a 180cm wide working surface.

Ideal for home and project studios

In most home and project studios, space is not used exclusively for music production. As a result, the setup of the studio is often a trade-off. The Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk offers a cost-effective alternative to such permanently improvised workstations. It is designed to accommodate as much equipment as possible within the smallest space imaginable, thus providing a well-organised workspace. This makes it interesting for all creative artists who need a compact and cost-effective workstation for composition, recording, and music production.

About Millenium

Millenium is one of Thomann’s in-house brands and has been an integral part of the store’s range since 1995. More than 800 products – from drums and percussion through to accessories such as microphone stands, racks, and recording workstations – bear the Millenium label. These products are made by renowned companies who also manufacture products for other well-known brands. Since they are imported directly from the factory without any further distributors or sales companies, they can be sold at particularly attractive prices. Incidentally, one in every four Thomann customers has already purchased at least one Millenium product.

They don't get much more compact than this

The Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk is a great choice for any setting where a workstation for music production needs to fit into the smallest space possible. This can apply to the living room or hobby room at home, for example, but a rehearsal room for bands or a recording studio can also be complemented by a compact side station for a recording or control room. Compared to a simple table with separate speaker stands, an adjacent master keyboard, and a potential 19" rack, the Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk saves a lot of space.

A highly recommended product.

The desk is sturdy and solidly built. We stand two audio monitors on the top shelf with isolation pads and no vibration is felt even at high volumes.

The lower table slides in and out easily and is perfect for our midi keyboard.
We needed a desk for home use in a limited space.

There is plenty of desk space for various digital to analogue devices and importantly to us, the leaning design gives us easy access to the power sockets behind the desk.

The only criticism is not with Thomann but to the couriers, UPS. The packaging was "banged up" on delivery and the internal polystyrene packaging was disintegrated and spilling out. The courier also just left the box downstairs and fled the scene before I came down to collect it. Upon opening the box, I noticed that the left support leg had a large dent in it and one of the lower table runner stops was broken, obviously damaged in transit; UPS delayed the delivery by one day due to "Emergency Conditions or Bad Weather" this report came from Feltham centre which is only 5 miles away from the delivery address, I can attest that bad weather wasn't the issue.

Assembly instructions are easy to follow and I had the table assembled and in place within 60 minutes.

My wife, "the music producer" loves it and it has enhanced her productivity exponentially; no more complaints about wobbly tables and stuff falling off the edge due to insufficient desk space.

I'm just waiting for her to produce that "killer track" that will enable me to retire an possibly buy an island in the Caribbean.

Excellent desk and great service!
Ramoor 02.02.2019
I'm so pleased i found this desk from Thomann! First of all, for the price i paid £150 - its an absolute no brainer for the quality and features this desk has!
Its well designed for use in studio set up, but could easily be used for gaming or video editing set ups.
The quality of the material is good and the desk is very sturdy. What's more it is packed with so many useful features; space for monitor and speakers on the top shelf, usable rack space - i can fit 5 modules in one of the spaces! Cable management system on the back and two side hooks for wires / headphones. The instructions were idiot proof, especially for someone as inpatient as me :) All in all, i really cannot recommend this desk enough - get it now, you'll not regret it!
Thanks to the Thomann team for the super fast delivery and good customer service!

You deserve better

Don’t buy this. Believe me, because I’ve bought it twice.
This is nothing like the Zaor quality. All the edges are rough and there’s no attention to detail. The plastic coated MDF is weak and will damage at slightest contact. The thin rack screws are single use only, that’s how weak they are. The 6 unit rack has room for 5.5 units in stead of six. The drawer is so low that it hits your legs, and I'm not that tall. The headphones holders are too low and your headphones will be resting on the desktop in stead.

And all of that only if you are lucky enough to receive it undamaged. Yes, because it is packed so poorly that when I received the first desk it was damaged on multiple sides with dents, scratches and broken bits. There were chunks and bits of polystyrene foam all over the place. Thomann and UPS blamed each other and after a month and a half of going round in circles trying to resolve this Thomann sent me a new one, which I did greatly appreciate. However, the new one came damaged as well. Can’t really blame UPS with such poor design and packing of this product.

The only good thing you can say about this product is that it’s relatively cheap. And so cheap is what you get.

N
Outstanding value
NiallD 03.10.2022
This desk suited my needs perfectly for setting up a secondary mixing station in a different room from where i usually work. I was able to put it together on my own in about 60 - 90 minutes and it feels completely rock solid. The racks and sliding keyboard drawer do what they need to and do it well.

Little metal shelf on the back end is helpful for keeping power and speaker cables tidy and out of the way and headphone hangers on each end are handy for headphones, patch cables etc and other things you need within reach.

There is a slight disparity between the level speakers sit at when on the top shelf and the height you need to adjust your chair to, to get your legs in under the desk, but buying freestanding speaker stands for behind the desk would solve this problem easily, if you need to always be in the "sweet spot" for critical listening and long mixing sessions. Try and find a better studio all in one desk at this price point. You probably won't.
