Perfect
This is exactly what I wanted, a snare stand of 16" that I can use to mount a floor tom - and it worked perfectly.
Standard Pearl hardware quality, feels very robust and is super easy to position. I'm happy with it.

Pearl hardware is a brand You can rely upon
I have come to realize that for drummers it's really important to find hardware that can be relied upon. Moving parts or wobbling is just unacceptable if the whole band relies on You and You can't rely on Your own drums being stable. That's why I really like Pearl S-1030 hardware series for their sturdy, massive legs that guarantee the basis for drumming - stability.
Since this stand has a wide span for the basket I originally bought it for my 16" inch floor tom which I like to use as a rack tom. The tom is quite heavy but it's no problem for this stand.
There is a handy inch scale from 10" to 16" inscribed into each arm making it super easy to change the size whenever You need. There's an amazing Gyro-Lock tilter (I haven't seen anything like it on other firms' hardware) that allows to change the angle of the basket.
If I originally bought it for a 16" tom it has been used for everything ever since - toms, snares, floor toms - it's that universal.
Pros:
+ Massive, stable legs;
+ Wide basket span;
+ Gyro-Lock tilter for even more adjustment.
Cons:
none
All in all, from my experience I can confidently state - Pearl hardware is the best.

Versatile and stable
This stand has a very wide range of adjustment possibilities. It takes a little while to set it up to fit your (snare) drum, but when it is set up, it is rock solid. The stand has a decent weight to it, making it a very good choice for the heavy hitters amongst us.

Pearl hardware equals top quality
The way you can adjust the basket is a must for me because sometimes i use 7'' deep snare drums and with other snare stands the height is too much. with this stand you can adjust to the diameter of the drum without having to change the height. Is too heavy so it won't move even with the hardest hitters. I would prefer the additional spikes that the s2000 used to have but it's just a personal taste.
