Its... a 47nF cap.
This thing is huge. And its got a vintage vibe to it aesthetically (not that you can see it once its fitted).
The Strat I put it in now again sounds like it should, but I changed all the pots and switches at the same time. I'm not deeply convinced that capacitors sound different for any reason other than they are of different capacitance.
But this one sounds good, looks good, was easy enough to install, and all for a very fair price.

good sound but too big
Used in Fender Telecaster for an excellent and cheap sound upgrade.
IMPORTANT:
This capacitor is giant in physical size and barely fit in my guitar. Since in the passive guitar circuit you are dealing with millivolts, I would recommend the 200V version instead of the 600V if you can find it.

This thing is huge!
Works perfectly and does it's job, but it is really big. Beware if you don't have much space on the cavity.

To big for practical use
I bought this one because the 100v smaller version was out of stock. But there really was no way it would fit in my P-bass in without doing some woodwork. (what I was not willing to do). It is extremely big. I did try it before replacing it with a smaller one, and it worked very well, but it is a bit of an overkill

Nice, if a bit bulky
Used for a guitar project and it just works...
Watch out for the dimensions, they are pretty big, roughly 3cm long and 1cm in diameter.

Jazz bass upgradable.
Gutted out my Squier Jazz Bass and stuck this orange drop in for the upgrade.
Now the transition through tone is alot smoother and even which has been a fantastic addition.
For the price i don't understand why Fender don't fit these as standard.
Anyway well worth the cheap expense for tone controls that actually do something useable.

Great replacement CAP.
I bought this to replace the CAP in a 7 String guitar.
The sound before was tinny and unfocused, however after the cap replacement it is much more defined and has a nice body to it.
Great cap if you're looking to upgrade a cheap guitar and give some more dimension to it's sound.
Will definitely be using these in future projects.

Very fair quality
Great quality and tone on my guitar. The only thing to bear in mind is that this is a big capacitor. Consider the space available in your pots cavity before buying.

I bought this as a guitar cap and was surprised to see its pretty big and bigger than I had seen before. This is due to being 600v as opposed to the usual smaller 100 or 200v caps you see inside guitars. It still works fine it just means more room is taken up in your control plate cavity. I think these are meant for amps but dont worry they work just fine in your guitars to.
