great one-hand music stand, although still a bit wobbly
Great-looking, well finished and discreet stand. It looks nice enough to be in my living room permanently and wouldn't attract any attention on stage, all the black parts are nicely matted.
One-hand operation works fine, just put your foot on one of the feet and lift the upper part. The friction is enough to keep up even big books but not so much it's hard to lift. If you share a stand with different musicians or play both standing and sitting, this is worth the extra bit of cash compared to screw-operated stands.
When extended it's still a bit wobbly, make sure the bottom screw is tight for maximum stability. The bottom screw construction is good for the price, but I wouldn't expect it to last long in heavy (touring) use.

Perfect for the Price
Easy and confident purchase. Same quality at almost half the price, and the stability is just as good as the old ones we all remember from our schools days. No problems with the push and pull method of raising and lowering, build is quality and stable.

Practise room essential
After owning numerous music stands I decided to level up and buy this slightly more expensive one for my practise space. the soid back means that pens and things don't fall through and the small footprint legs don't annoy me like the usual fold out kind which are bulkier. It's easy to raise and lower aswell. I would buy it again.

Light and Sturdy
I got this stand to replace an old Stagg mic-stand style music stand. This is far superior in every way. It's much lighter and you can adjust the height of the stand with one hand (so long as you put your foot on the base). The real selling point for me was the fact that all the fittings for the music desk are made from metal. It's very similar in style and construction to the more expensive Manhasset music stands and I know for a fact that they are almost indestructable. I work in a school where the music students regularly break EVERYTHING. They haven't managed to break a single Manhasset stand yet.

Top quality stand will bear weight of large ipad
Tension not adjustable in this kind of stand so you need it to be solid and dependable - and this is what this one is. Excellent. All my musicians and speakers love how easy it is to adjust. Much better than classic orchestra stand and wished I'd upgraded sooner.

Great stand for the money!
This stand is durable, lightweight and reliable. The only thing against it is that the legs don't fold in, if that's what you need - otherwise excellent product.
