Knosti Antistat Generation II Plus

Working from home during lockdown has allowed me the chance to convert my old vinyl collection to .WAV using a Pioneer PLX-500 to Macbook Pro. I was unable to get all the crackles out of a number of old vinyl using a carbon brush, microfiber cloth & lighter fluid approach.
My Vinyl had SUFFERED over time (Kids paw prints, moving house & damp apartment).
The Disco-Antistat cleaned them right up, almost perfect in most attempts, so much so that i feel encouraged to go digging in 2nd hand shops again knowing i can clean them up like new.

The Good:
-Easy to use
-works much better than expected
-Extra Fluid is not expensive

The Bad:
-Red plastic feet had to be glued in place, plastic clicking feature was not enough.
-Handle is made of plastic, I would have preferred something more robust.
-fluid WILL Spill when pouring back into bottle using supplied items.

So, I absolutely love the cleaning standard of this...great results...
However, I'd only cleaned about 100 records and the circular centre label clamp startup to crack and break down... The lip around the edge cracked and then piece by piece started to snap off....
I'm prepared to accept that maybe this was a one off but if not, then they really need to use better materials.... not good enough!
I've had to superglue mine back together which is by no means the way forward... It will inevitably break again :/ Will be complaining and asking for a new piece to be sent...

Saw some reviews of this item and I am glad I joined the team of happy owners. It does what sets out to do, clean your vinyl records, if all sizes; 7, 10 or 12". And it does it good. Drawbacks? Not many. It's plastic so the lever that use to rotate the record with sometimes feels like it is going to snap, but that has not happened yet. All in all, a great product and good value for money.

Plusieurs défauts rédhibitoires.

1) fabrication très légère qui ne justifie pas le prix demandé. Par ailleurs, la brosse en poils de chèvre perd des poils qui se retrouvent sur les vinyles. Ce n'est pas le plus grave.

2) mauvaise conception.
Le disque en plastique qui serre l'étiquette se desserre quand on inverse le sens de rotation dans le bac. Il est un peu difficile à attraper et il faut développer un coup de main.
Surtout, on perd beaucoup de produit quand on cherche à le verser dans l'entonnoir pour le récupérer (problème soulevé par d'autres utilisateurs). Sûrement que le design du bac aurait pu être amélioré pour favoriser le versement du liquide.

3) allégations mensongères. Le produit ne sèche pas en 7 minutes. Même pas en 1h ! En fait il s'accumule à la base du vinyle, là où il est en contact avec l'égouttoir, ce qui fait que le vinyle n'est pas jamais vraiment sec, obligeant à finir à la main, en évitant de toucher les sillons. Enfin, il subsiste souvent des traces de produit sur la tranche même du vinyle. Qu'est-ce qu'on fait avec ça ? J'ai vu qu'un autre utilisateur utilisait un mélange de sa conception à la place du produit Knosti et terminait par un rinçage à l'eau distillée.

Conclusion : produit finalement inutilisable. Désolé, j'aime donner des avis positifs, mais là ce n'est juste pas possible. Je regrette mon achat.
