Wampler states that this is distortion pedal, but I found it to be much more, covering OD sounds to full blown distortion sounds, as expected.

This is not an amp in a box approach, but something you put in front of a clean amp. If used on a clean channel you will get distortion sounds from Satriani to Pantera, but put in front of a crunch amp with modest gain, man it blowed me away. Very quiet pedal, suitable for studio recording and plays well with boost and compressor pedals.
