Moeck 4599 Rottenburgh Bass Recorder

Es un instrumento interesante. El aspecto es impecable. Tiene un sonido agradable y potente y es agradable de tocar. El cuerpo en 415 funciona mejor que el cuerpo en 442. Tiene mejor respuesta, afinación y homogeneidad. En 442 las notas del registro agudo resultan difíciles de obtener. En 415 por el contrario responden muy bien. En general los problemas de afinación se pueden solucionar fácilmente con digitaciones alternativas no muy complejas, aunque hay notas conflictivas, como el mi bemol agudo, que suena muy agudo y es muy difícil de bajar, pues ninguna digitación alternativa parece funcionar y si se baja la presión es fácil que la nota se pierda. También resulta peculiar la diferencia de color entre diferentes notas. Hay que lidiar con ello de manera creativa. En resumen, sin ser perfecto y con su particular idiosincrasia puede proporcionar momentos de gran disfrute. Otra cosa es el precio. Personalmente me parece algo alto pero no puedo comparar con otros bajos de nivel similar.

It is an interesting instrument. The appearance is impeccable. It has a nice and powerful sound and it is pleasant to play. The body in 415 works better than the body in 442. It has better response, intonation and homogeneity. In 442 the notes in the high register are difficult to obtain. In 415, on the other hand, they respond very well. In general the tuning problems can be easily solved with not very complex alternative fingerings, although there are conflicting notes, such as the high E flat, which sounds very high and is very difficult to lower, as no alternative fingering seems to work and if the pressure is lowered it is easy for the note to be lost. Also peculiar is the difference in colour between different notes. This has to be dealt with creatively. All in all, without being perfect and with its particular idiosyncrasies it can provide moments of great enjoyment. Another thing is the price. Personally I find it a bit high but I can't compare it with other basses of similar level.
