Ich hatte vorher einen SSL UV EQ und dachte, damit kann man nix falsch machen. Aber ganz ehrlich: im Vergleich zum Carnaby ist der Ultraviolet fade. Beim Carnaby dreht man kurz ein paar Knöpfe, dann hat man den Sweetspot, wo etwas einfach am Besten klingt. Beim UV fummelt man ewig rum und dann klingt's ein bisschen besser, hat aber woanders echt viel verloren. Genau das Problem hat der Carnaby nicht, denn er pusht nicht nur eine Frequenz, sondern alles, was da noch an Untertönen mitschwingt, gleich mit. Wundervolles Gerät, habe mir direkt ein zweites gekauft.

Ich nutze diesen H EQ als Stereopaar vor allem im Mid/Side mode. Beide stecken im Cranborne 500 ADAT Rack und dann übers Apollo x8. Es macht so viel Spass damit zu arbeiten. Egal ob ich dem Low-End etwas mehr Fülle geben will oder silberne Air-Band movements mache, ich bin jedes mal wieder erstaunt vom Klangerlebnis. Es ist eben kein gewöhnlicher EQ. Sehr musikalisch und vielseitig einsetzbar. Ich kann wirklich nur zu einem Kauf raten!
