Decisamente ottime corde "all around".

Ero abituato a scalature più grosse, ma, dovendo usare il 5 corde per lavoro, sentivo la 5 corda .130 troppo sfocata rispetto alle altre. Per questo ho deciso di provare questa scalatura light, con il Si da .125. All'inizio ero preoccupato per la "finezza" di La e Mi, ma, dopo un intenso uso, devo ammettere che non perdono nulla, in quanto a frequenze basse e presenza, rispetto alle 45-105. In più sono molto piacevoli sotto le dita, non affaticano la mano sinistra e sono morbide il giusto per non sembrare "molli". Sarebbe interessante che D'addario proponesse anche il set EXL190 per il 5 corde, perchè credo che con una scalatura 40-60-80-100-125, avrei trovato le corde perfette. Ma già così vanno decisamente bene. Dopo un mese di utilizzo hanno perso il "fruscio" della corda nuova, e si sono attestate su un bel suono pulito, nitido e "croccante" che buca bene nel mixer. Penso che possano durare ancora un paio di mesi, nonostante l'uso intenso. NOTA: anche se il mio basso è scala 35, ho montato la versone long, NON la super long. Stranamente mi sembra che le corde D'Addario della misura Long, quindi 34", si montino meglio sui bassi scala 35", e rispondano decisamente meglio in termini di prontezza e tensione rispetto alle super long.

As usual for D'addario strings these are excellent sounding and feeling.

The low end is crisp and smooth really letting you hear the low notes which is a hard feat to achieve this far down.

The strings are a dream to play on, smooth and flexible giving a great amount of physical feedback when you pick but also not feeling feel flimsy or breakable. It's easy to see why some bass players never change their strings when they have access to strings like these, they feel like they'll last a life time.

All in all, grab these strings, I bought these to put on my 4 string bass and they're a dream to play and listen to.

There's no cons on these strings, awesome sound and they are durable as hell! I think I have mine for 2 years now on the bass, the sound is still awesome, not a single string has broken and I must say I play really hard.

Great set of strings

I have been using these strings for one of my basses for years. They have a nice bright sound with a good mid-range presence, making them very useful for cutting through a mix.

The low-end suffers slightly for this, but this isn't a major concern for my purposes, as my bass requires a bit of taming in this range anyway.

I will continue to use these I imagine, due to their affordability and quality, and the fact that they last well too!
