The A-190-5 Poly Midi to CV unit is well designed. I was told by the techies at Doepfer that MIDI and USB can be used simultaneously, as opposed as with the Dark Link where either/or applies. Plenty of settings, CV can be assigned independently to any CC, Pitch can be tuned for every voice independently as well. I see this module very useful not only as a multivoice performer but as a polyphonic CV which can really extend possibilities endlessly. Well done Dieter!

works great, only downside for me is not summed pitchwheel on CV, which is stopper for me.

A-190-5, ein Modul, was man haben sollte

Ich habe mir vor einem 3/4-tel Jahr das doepfer Basissystem A-100 gekauft. Es ist ein wirklich sehr schön durchdachter Synth. Ich wollte dieses System immer schon polyphon ausbauen. Dazu habe ich mir jetzt das A-190-5 gekauft. Dazu aber auch einen A-140-2 sowie einen A-130-2 um sowohl dann vier ADSR's als auch vier VCA's zu haben. VCO's und VCF's habe ich mir in einer früheren Ausbaustufe dazu gekauft.
Ich bin mit dem A-190-5 sehr zufrieden. Funktional entspricht es voll meinen Erwartungen. Besonders gut finde ich, dass es pro MIDI-Note drei CV-Ausgänge hat, sodass man so - neben dem Notenwert - über weitere Steuermöglichkeiten verfügt. Die Bedienung sowie die Menüstruktur sind sehr übersichtlich, da aber die polyphone Spielweise bereits beim Einschalten des Synths voreingestellt ist, kann man sofort loslegen. Mit dem Keyboard muss man allerdings konsequentes Stakkato spielen, sonst bekommt das A-190-5 einen Notenwechsel nicht mit. Man kann das A-190-5 übrigens gleichzeitig über den MIDI-Eingang und über den USB-Eingang ansteuern, das hilft, wenn man den Synth über eine DAW ansteuern möchte, aber gleichzeitig auch patchen will.
Also alles in allem ein wirklich gelungenes Modul.
