Used the classic EMG P for years. Tried this one in one of my P basses and the alnico magnet changed the sound a lot. More open, more mids, clear highs but less agressive than the originals.
The sound is more balanced and "passive" in character.
The included screws were a bit annoying but otherwise its a great product.

The metal covers are a nice touch.
