Capotasto Graph Tech per basso 4 corde

Perfetto come costruzione e misure.

Il materiale di cui è fatto lubrifica anche le corde, senza compromettere la qualità del suono (delle corde a vuoto ovviamente).

E' fornito già preregolato in altezza.

L'unico "difetto" è che non essendo regolabile, in caso di settaggio fine dell'altezza delle corse può richiedere una leggera limatura.

Per contro è un prodotto di qualità, ad un prezzo contenuto che vale la pena di adottare su qualsiasi basso in nostro possesso, anche e soprattutto quelli economici.

Vivamente consigliato.

I've used GT nuts on many builds and restomods on fairly precious instruments. Not as good as high quality selected bone but way more consistent + a lot easier to work on if you need to do adjustments!
This one ended up on a vintage Gibson Bass.

Top quality but uncommon size

The nut is great as any other Graph Tech product: good material, enhances the tone and stabilizes the tuning, but it will require some extremely accurate work to fit a P bass.
The length and the string spacing are correct, but it's very much higher and deeper than a normal P bass nut, so it will need a lot of sanding.
However, the major letdown is that it's flat-bottomed, unlike a standard Fender nut, and that complicates the installation a lot.
So my advice is: buy it if you're going to install it behind the fretboard, skip it if it's for a Fender-type bass 'cause installing it will be too much of a hassle and if you're not VERY careful you'll ruin the nut and need to buy another one.

Great replacement for the Thomann short scale bass

I really love the Thomann short scale bass, but the white plastic nut it comes with is really nasty and cheap. This nut is the perfect width for it.

I had to increase the width of nut slot with careful filing, but this nut is so much better and the bass seems to have much more sustain (I don't think it is just my imagination).

The nut iutself is quite deep, so whichever bass you need it for, it will require a substantial sanding down, but better there being too much which you can work with rather than too less.

The material feels like it is going to last, and from the sanding process to bring the heigth down, it comes across as a quite dense material.

So far, no problems, so I can highly recommend it.
