Top quality instrument for a really reasonable price

This is a really decent quality instrument which comes with a built in mp3 player input and headphone socket as well as the standard jack so you can practise along in silence without even needing an amp.

Another great thing about the headphone socket is you have a built in monitor which means you're not dependent on a sound engineer for decent monitoring.

The build quality is great, the wooden neck feels tough and is really nice to hold and to play. I'm new to playing bass so the dots on the fingerboard are really useful, though I'm not sure if they are standard on a bass.

I can't say much about the sound quality as I've only put this through a tiny amp.

Criticisms? The EQ on mp3s seems to be really treble heavy, missing a lot of the bass frequencies - possibly on purpose for playalong reasons, but I'd like to decide for myself whether I want to hear the bass.

The lovely shiny finish on the main body shows up even the slightest imperfection in manufacturing or any scratches. Even just the slightest ding will show up really easily.

excellent, beyond expectations

Mine arrived here in the UK on a pallet delivery (not sure that was really necessary, the box was no bigger than you'd expect and it only weighs 7kg!)
It had a very minor inconsistency in the finish in one spot, plus two tiny little dings, the box was in great shape so I don't think it happened in transit, however really too small to worry about & only really noticeable on very close inspection.
It's solidly built and the sub-bass knob gives you a lot of control over how much 'boom' you want in the sound.
This is my first upright bass and I was considering an acoustic but have been told that the budget ones are not very good and this may be a better bet.
It sounds great, a very believable acoustic tone to my ears, certainly for jazz or contemporary styles (classical purists may possibly be able to find fault)
I think I still want an acoustic one, just for the experience, but certainly not because this is lacking in any way.
Nice touch having the bow, rosin and softcase included, very good range of adjustment on the leg support, really nothing to criticise.
The only thing is I wish the side pocket on the bag was big enough to store a spare set of strings! (It's designed for the bow so it's a long and slim pocket)
But otherwise totally delighted with it and I recommend it unreservedly.

I was sceptical in buying the bass from so far away I thought well i wanted it took the gamble got it to Australia without a scratch in quick time I say you want to use Thomann to get your music products highly recommended and professional all the way from the moment you place your order thanks

Bin sowohl von der Haptik als auch der Verarbeitung positiv überrascht.
Über PA / Bassverstärker guter satter echter Kontrabasssound. Einziges
Manko ist das fehlende Kolophonium. ( Aber so was hat man ja immer im Haus , gell ).
Bin mehr als zufrieden.
