sono davvero stupito

per un 5 corde a soli 139€ mi aspettavo davvero molto meno:
-le rifiniture sono pressochè perfette
-la verniciatura è bellissima ed è anche bella solida: l'ho usato in prova e dal vivo, trasportato un pò ovunque ed non ha neanche un graffio
-i suoni sono abbastanza versatili per usarlo in vari generi (c'è sempre da fare il rapporto col prezzo)
-le chiavette tengono benissimo l'accordatura se non lo si trasporta: sono enormi e quindi è impossibile che in una custodia morbida non si spostino
-il manico è molto sottile per un 5 corde, quindi si ispira a bassi più moderni che ai Fender, ma è comodo e scorrevole
-lo strumento arriva ben ottavato (ho regolato solo l'action a mio piacere)

l'unica pecca che trovo è il volume dei pick-up un pò al di sotto della media ma basta alzare dall'ampli e pace

WAY better than I expected !!

I was looking for a cheap bass for my studio: I'm a guitarist/producer, mainly in the rock area and needed a bass which could cover some extended range (my guitars are tuned from standard to Drop A).

I was aware of the common problem of the "airy" 5th string, but wanted to give this guy a try and I was BLOWN AWAY !

It stays in tune, no dead spots, the 5th string produces actual notes, and even when I drop it to A it sounds good. I also ordered a Squier and another HB (both 4 strings) because I didn't know which one would've been the best.. but this bass sounded WAY better than the Squier, and costs 100€ less.

If we REALLY have to find a flaw, the "Jazz" pick up is a bit anonymous, while the "Precision" pick up nails the sound; but, for 150€, I believe it's still a miracle to have this instrument in my hands.. 😁

La percezione generale è di uno strumento di buona qualità. Il manico è comodo e la satinato. Il volume dei pick up è piu' basso di un altro passivo che possiedo ma basta alzare un po' il volume. Il prezzo è decisamente conveniente in rapporto alla qualità.

This is my first experience with harley benton instruments and thomann in general and om glad to say that I am pleasantly surprised.

The bass feels quite sturdy and well built. It did have some small cosmetic issues on the finish but nothing major at all.
No fret sprout (frets also feel fine)
The knobs feel okay. Not scratchy or anything like that.
The tuners aren't the best but they absolutely get the job done.
I keep this bass in drop a and it has stayed like that since I got it.
The picks sound fine,. not great, not bad. At least with a clean tone.
I feel like the p-bass pick is the stronger of the two. Alot more low end.
BUT with a bit of drive this bass sounds huge.

The finish on this bass looks very cool but it does feel very fragile and prone to scratches and the like.

But overall I am more than pleased with this for the time being
