Great well made compressor

This is a great sounding compressor with a surprising amount of control in a package this size. Really nice compression level meter and it seems to have a the bite you want from an 1176 compressor while still keeping everything warm. Highly recommended particularly at this price point.

Super 1176 Clone und tolle Verarbeitung!

Das IGS Audio Alter ist eine wahre Wucht! Und so kommt es auch daher. Die Verarbeitung und Qualität ist 1A da gibt es nichts dran zu rütteln.

Genauso wuchtig wie die Bauform kommt auch der Sound daher. FET 100%. Die gerasterten Potis gehen super und leicht von der Hand und man kann sich so jede Einstellung notieren falls man diese Nachvollziehen muss. Auch die Kippschalter funktionieren tadellos.

Der IGS Audio Alter ist pfeilschnell was die Attack angeht! Er hat zwar "nur" drei Stück (20us -> F, 400us -> M und 800us -> S) aber diese reichen eigentlich völlig für die meisten Anwendungen aus. Wer jedoch wie vom 1176 gewohnt frei von 1-7 regeln will sollte sich den IGS Blue Stripe oder einen anderen 1176 Clone holen.

Fein ist auch, dass eine 1:1 Ratio zur Verfügung steht. So kann man ein Signal einfach nur zum aufwerten durch die Schaltung ohne Kompression schicken.

Fazit: Für das Geld erhält man ein super Kompressor im 1176 Style mit dem man Lange Spass haben wird. Einbau und Betrieb übrigens in einer Fredenstein Bento 6 Lunchbox war und ist kein Problem. Jetzt muss nur noch ein zweiter her!

Great sound

i really love IGS, i run a studio with a lot of high end hardware, and i think IGS gear really sounds great, and the overall build quality is top class. This 1176 style compressor sounds great, i usually use if on the kick drum when i use it. i put 4 stars for the built quality because compared to my other IGS gear which are solid like tanks, the knobs are a tiny amount of play to them. double throw switches are good.

good gear, would recommend.
