Sounds better than you would ever expect. Upgrading from the UAD Apollo Twin sounds like I just removed a blanket over my speakers. A lot more clarity but not even a hit of harshness. Dynamic range on mic inputs is insane and the quality sounds like it should be coming from outboard gear, not such a little box. The built in effects do just about anything I need, sometimes simpler is the way to go, an eq, compressor, gate, limiter and reverb bundle handles just about 99% of scenarios. Nothing more to say. This little box is a godsend.

Amazing Audio Interface

This Neumann interface sounds absolutely amazing, tones of gain makes it hard to clip, super easy way an intuitive to use, love the touchscreen.
Only problem that I encounter is that it tends to overheat quite easily, the fan will help a lot if you put it on max, but makes it quite noisy; so I usually just turn the fan down when I record.

Hohe Erwartungen übertroffen

Ich hatte zuvor Erfahrung mit dem Vorgänger von Merging, "Anubis", und war eigentlich ein Fan des Geräts selbst. Allerdings war die Lüftung für ein professionelles Studio unbrauchbar, daher musste ich das Gerät damals wieder verkaufen.

Mit dem Neumann MT48 hat man nun alle tollen Tools zur Verfügung, wie zum Beispiel unfassbar gute Vorverstärker, saubere Wandlung und digitale Effekte, ohne Lüftergeräusche und in kompakter Form. Besonders nützlich ist die Möglichkeit, das Signal Dry/Wet auf verschiedenen Spuren aufzuzeichnen.
