Die Snare Drum ist ja bekanntlich das Zentrum eines Schlagzeugs, also eigentlich die wichtigste Trommel. Eine Piccolo Snare klingt natürlich höher als eine normale 14'' Snare, und sie ist eine Spur leiser. Macht aber gar nichts! Man stimmt sie eher hoch.
Bei mir kommt sie für einen speziellen Zweck zum Einsatz: da ich in meinem kleinen Kellerraum kein zweites Set aufbauen kann, benutze ich die Pearl Snare auf einem extra hohen Ständer von Gibraltar für den Unterricht. Z.B. um einen Wirbel bzw. drum roll zu zeigen.
So kann der Schüler mich beim Spielen im Stehen sehen, weil die Becken nicht die Sicht verdecken...
Diese Maple-Snare klingt hervorragend, sieht gediegen und super verarbeitet aus - die Bass Drum wird dazu auf einer brasilianischen Timbal-Trommel intoniert. Alles wie gesagt im Stehen.
Natürlich kann ich mir noch ganz andere Anwendungen vorstellen, wie bei Jungle Rhythms oder Acid Jazz, aber damit enden meine bescheidenen Erfahrungen auch wieder...
