Note: To fill the mouthpiece, open the cup to the stop screw (counter-clockwise) and fill completely with water. Now swivel the mouthpiece (shaft and cup should touch the worktop) and let excess water run out. While maintaining the angle, screw the cup back in clockwise.

Please note: Do not tighten the cup all the way, there should be a small gap between the rim and the cup. The water should be renewed regularly.

Für den etwas anderen Sound

Wer einen dunklen, großen klassischen Sound sucht ist hier richtig. Sehr großes Mundstück mit tiefem Kessel. Durch die Größe des Mundstücks wird Stimmung insgesamt etwas tiefer. Die Bohrung verschlingt Unmengen an Luft, ebnet damit aber auch den Weg für einen großen Ton. Sehr obertonreicher, voluminöser Klang, der über den ganzen Tonumfang gleich bleibt. Kein muffiger Sound, wie ich ihn schon oft bei schweren Mundstücken erlebt habe. Die Ansprache ist in allen Lagen sehr gut, was nach meinem Empfinden an der exzellenten Intonation liegt. Perfekte Verarbeitung. Einfaches Staccato. Bindungen problemlos. Angenehmer Rand.
Fazit: Sehr gutes Mundstück für Satz und Solo. Einsatzgebiet Klassik und Jazzcombo. Eher für fortgeschrittene Musiker. Getestet mit Smith & Watkins Trompete mit großem Mundrohr (38).
