PLEK Service Standard – Revisione della tastiera con posizionamento dei tasti in Silver nichelato

Dietro il marchio PLEK c'è un processo brevettato di misurazione e revisione dei singoli tasti, della tensione del manico, dell'altezza delle corde tra il capotasto ed il ponte.

In stretta collaborazione con voi, il nostro team ottimizza l'azione delle corde e quindi la suonabilità del vostro strumento. Vengono così eliminati anche i problemi di intonazione derivanti da un'azione sproporzionata delle corde.

Il sistema di sensori della macchina PLEK misura il manico dello strumento e crea un profilo specifico.

Le irregolarità della tastiera e di ogni singolo tasto vengono corrette con una tolleranza di 0,01 mm, in modo che nessuna corda si sbilanci, anche a un'altezza molto bassa, o che la nota "soffochi" bruscamente.

Dopo la lucidatura dei tasti, viene effettuata una revisione personalizzata delle ottave e dell'azione delle corde, secondo le esigenze del musicista.

Ottimo setup, ha reso la mia chitarra decisamente migliore da suonare
Ha lasciato qualche segno sulla tastiera d'acero
Non un grosso problema avendolo fatto su una chitarra molto economica

High-tech fret job

As my Lakewood Custom D-32 needed a fret job, I decided to give the new Plek Service a try, and I don't regret it. I checked the details beforehand with the service team and sent them my guitar in a nice big padded parcel. I soon got a notification from Thomann that the instrument had arrived savely, which calmed my nerves quite a bit.

After the fretboard was measured and it was clear that no new frets were needed, the Plek-machine did a wonderful job in levelling the old frets and giving my guitar a wonderful low action and perfect intonation. Playability has also improved compared to the original factory setup. Obviously Thomann have got them a really cool new machine and the people who know how to use it.

Maybe the service is a bit pricey for a new instrument, but if you need a fret job anyway, I would definitely recommend it.

First guitar

I live in the USA and due to the covid virus I really don't go out as much.
I always wanted to learn to play so I went on line to see what I could find . I did not get the first guitar I saw, I search for awhile and then I found Thomann music and their harley benton line they were the only online site that i found that offered the plek service. so i found the guitar I wanted it is the Harley Benton Fusion-T HH HT LH EB BK.
As I said I am a beginner and I want to give myself the best I could afford without spending a lot of money , and that's what thomann did
Just to be clear I know nothing about guitars but my son who's been playing for over 10 years and was a little mad at me for not asking him for his opinion. But when I handed him the guitar he was greatly surprised at the quality of the guitar and the plek setup. So as far as I am concerned i could not have gotten a better deal on a guitar and setup as I have gotten from thomann music

Make sure you make clear what you need done

I ordered this service when I ordered a guitar which was a gift for me from my wife for a significant birthday. Since the service says it is set-up to your personal preference, I assumed someone would reach out to me to ask me what my preference would be but nothing came. Finally someone replied to my enquiry, told me the work had already been done and it was too late to change. As it turns out, it wasn't quite how I would like it so whilst the frets are nice and level and shiny, I will need to have a further set-up done adding additional expense.

If you do take this service make sure to contact Thomann to state your preference upfront. Apparently new strings aren't included too for the price so you have to add them to your basket separately.

Overall though I'd probably just have a set-up done by a local technician instead but your mileage may vary as the saying goes.
