Disclamer: usually I don't use the reverb part of the pedal at all, I ended up using it just as great distortion, this is my go-to tone now.

Tone: this one is based on the Iron Horse pedal which is based on the Rat. That saying it sounds quite far from the ProCo Rat I have and differently from Iron Horse which I got for comparison. You can get very close to this sound with Iron Horse, but the tone on Melee is a little bit darker even on the highest setting than on IH. For some reason I couldn't get the exact match and I just like Melee more. Maybe it's because of the nicer picture, I don't know but IH won't replace Melee for me.

I have a Fender Jazzmaster and the tone with Melee is mindblowing. It has this fuzzy texture. You don't even need to crank up the gain for that. I end up using it not more that 30% distortion and that way I can get both the fuzz and the clean clarity of the notes, it's really wonderful.

The Stick: It's the selling point and a gimmick. Getting the exact position is a little bit hard and imprecise, but it works. One thing to note is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to turn the reverb all the way down. It's always there. The best you can get is on the pink program, it's barely listenable, but it's still there. On orange in blue you can hear the tail on short sharp notes more clearly.

Conclusion: buy it. It's a superb distortion plus beautiful picture plus you can get reverb if you need to. This thing stays on my desk.

Ausschlaggebend für die Bestellung war der Joystick - ein Joystick am Pedal - wie geil is das denn?!

Habe das Pedal genutzt am Soma Quantum Ocean - den RoaT , einer dronebox namens Drart, meinem Opsix und einem Zoom h3 VR Mikro.
Annähernd gleichen Effekt erzielt man mit dem Behringer StereoReverb (40€) und dem Dark Matter (tc Elektronik) … mir erscheint der Preis von 350€ echt zu viel - daher muss das Pedal wieder gehen. Joystick hin oder her. Vielleicht wäre eine kombi aus reverb delay oder reverb phaser besser mit einem Joystick, den. Klanglich finde ich das morphen zw. D und rev sehr „müde“ …

Pues eso, este pedal ha superado mis espectativas.Básicamente tenemos ante nosotros 2 pedales (fuzz y reverb) que pueden usarse juntos o individualmemte.
El sonido fuzz va desde algo muy suave y dinámico hasta algo bastante cañero.La reverb es una pasada, son 3 tipos diferentes y se puede ajustar su decay.Imaginen la cantidad de sonidos diferentes que se pueden obtener con este aparato, muchos.
En cuanto a la construcción, pues que decir de Walrus, calidad asegurada.
Un pedal que para muchos es caro, pero yo sigo viendo 2 pedales en 1 con lo cual el precio me parece correcto.
Nunca saldrá de mi pedalera!!!

Une pedale atypique!

Pedale super interessante et qui est parfaite pour faire de la musique ambiante.
Les +: son de tres bonne qualite, possibilite de changer le chainage entre reverb et distortion ce qui ouvre une palette de sons tres sympas... Le joystick pour pouvoir tatonner en cherchant le son qui nous convient le mieux

Les -: le joystick est completement atypique et interessant a utiliser mais c'est assez difficile de retrouver sa position exacte quand on a aime un son... Je n'ai pas ete convaincu par la fonction sustain mais je l'utilise peut etre pas bien.

Au final je mets que 4 etoiles car selon moi le joystick est un peu gadget J'aurais mis 5 etoiles si on l'avait remplace par des potards car ca aurait ete surement moins cher et plus facile de se souvenir des reglages.
