Handles lighter lapel mics fine. The AT Pro35 is probably the limit of size and weight.

Check with the violinist first if they need to use mutes. If they do, this mount is probably not the best solution as it gets in the way and the mutes hit the mic which makes noise.

Excellent product for attaching to violins. Very discreet and doesn't impede on the musician while playing. Holds the microphone well as long as the mic cable isn't too thick to go onto the clip. Definitely recommend it.

I bought these to hold some Sony ecm 77 omni's which i like to use on strings. They fit those mics well and of course the DPA's. Very happy with them, you can also fit them on a cello or viola if you're on a budget!
