I first tried the Little Mark Tube (500W), which I liked its tube preamp sound, however, I found it is generating annoying noises while changing the master volume during play (which is a common problem to most of the LMT users) so that I decided to use the new LM4 with tube preamp (in my case LeBass from Two notes).
I found this setup an ideal one for me. I also like the dedicated mute button which is very useful. The Scooped switch/position will not give you the flexibility of the VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter) however, it is working well enough in most cases (mainly for slap).
The old-school knob is also very useful for me.
Regarding the new bi-band limiter, I am not sure whether it is a type of compressor or tube distortion effect on high gain - I could yet find a demonstration for its functionality.

Im Vordergrund stand für mich das Gewicht, da ich mich nicht mehr mit einem Peavey 130 TNT abquälen wollte. Zudem sollte der Amp sowohl für den Proberaum wie auch für Auftritte verwendbar sein. Beides funktioniert. In Kombination mit der Box Markbass New York 122, können kleinere bis mittelgroße Events gut beschallt werden.
Klang ist immer Geschmacksache, für unsere Zwecke (Indie - und Rockcover) ohne weiters Equipment aber vollkommen in Ordnung.
Der Transport incl. der Box ist ein Kinderspiel, letztlich genau das was ich gesucht habe.
Was mir fehlt, ist allerdings ein Extra -Eingang für aktive Bässe. Hier muss man das. Vol. am Bass weit zurückdrehen, um das Clippen zu vermeiden.
Eine etwas detailliertere Bedienungsanleitung wäre hilfreich.

J'ai longtemps hésité avec un TC ELectronics, mais rien a envier ce markbass est un monstre de son, de précision et de qualité;

Pour les répèts, j'utilisais son petit frère, le mark III, qui a rendu l'âme.
Maintenant je ne prends plus que celui-ci, quel que soit le contexte. :)
Il sonne super propre, net, clair... ou moins si vous le souhaitez car les réglages sont efficaces.
L'attaque est franche mais pas agressive et peut aussi être modulée même si elle ne sonnera jamais "lampe".
Bref très neutre mais très polyvalent car en plus il prend bien les pédales.
Très satisfait de mon choix et des services Thomann, évidemment !
