The Skyntone skins are suitable for use on the snare drum in concert percussion and on normal drum sets
With minimal attack and controlled high frequencies, the Skyntones have a very warm sound even when used with steel snares
This makes them ideal for live gigs in concert halls where "normal" metal snares often sound too sharp and tinny
When used on drum sets with a higher tuning, the Skyntones offer a warm, controlled sound with an excellent surface for brushes

Pelle sintetica che richiama volutamente le caratteristiche sonore e il look delle vecchie pelli animali. Montata su un Ludwig Acrolite 14x5,5 del 1965 si fa apprezzare per il suono caldo e privo di fastidiose frequenze con attacco morbido ma comunque definito sia che si utilizzino bacchette che spazzole. Ideale per jazz e derivati.

that remo fell asleep and other makers are far ahead... I dont agree this is head with little overtones that dampens high frequency responce from metal snares and brings nice and bodied sound from even low tunnings which I like.

Im using this head on a Ludwig 14"x5.5" metal shell snare and I'm loving it. The head certainly does the job recommend by Remo, it takes some of the brightness out of the sound and warms it up. I also find it suitable for brushes. I've got it tuned up to A# but it still has a nice depth to it. Highly recommended.

Thought I would try this for a more 'traditional' tone. It's got tons of attack and 'pang' and really brings out the overtones in my snare (a 14 x 5.5 Birdseye Maple Black Panther).

Looks great too and has been used for a good few months with no signs of it wearing more than the usual discoloration.
