Old Blood Noise Endeavors Signal Blender

Like this very much but the first one I got became faulty and I had to have it replaced , Thomann to the rescue and no hassle , got a new one in no time. Hopefully this time it will last.
Good: 3 into 1 mix, 1 to 3 mix , 1 to 2 effects parallel blending possible.
i use it for the following 1 guitar send 1 to blackbird pre/dis blended with boss cp1x to Marshal dsl 20 watt return ie. to power amp only and a home made switch to put it into the front end of Marshall as well. and just a clean signal from guitar , all of this goes via 2 notes captor x (16) into my synergy core so basically i get 3 signals with effects and 1 completely gtr only signal clean to the DAW via synergy core . all works very well, blackbird thru the power amp sounds great.

have bought three old blood pedals now and returned them all with a feeling i've been hoodwinked by the guitar pedal society at the harvard business school. masters of marketing with some genuinely good ideas but there's always some issue with tone or noise or cheap build. this is such a great idea but it does something very subtle to the core tone that i really didn't like. most people wont notice it maybe but i couldnt live with it. knobs had different tension and felt cheap too. a real shame, there's a gap for someone to do this kinda thing right!

Seit Jahren suchte ich nach einer portablen Lösung mit mehreren Instrumenten mein Pedalboard zu bespielen oder Effekte parallel zu schalten. Auf einmal finde ich den Signal Blender, der beide Lösungen perfekt meistert. Und dadurch, dass das Pedal wieder einen 9V Out hat (und selbst nur etwa 31mA Verbrauch hat), nimmt es auch keinen Slot beim Pedal-Netzteil weg.

Es ist zwar durch und durch ein Utility-Pedal, was selbst musikalisch nichts beiträgt, aber je nachdem welche Pedals oder Instrumente man an sein Pedalboard anschließt kann man sehr cooles Synergien aus einem bestehendem Setup rauskitzeln.

Da ich sehr viele experimentelle Pedals habe die schnell alles zu Matsch machen bzw. keinen Spielraum für Anderes erlauben, kann ich diese nun über eine parallele Schaltung und den Volume-Knobs regulieren oder vorerst muten.

Dadurch, dass man auch das Clean-Signal für sich immer reinschalten kann, kann man die Pedale an den Send/Return-Spuren immer komplett auf Wet stellen und somit verliert man mit z.B. einem Reverb keine Lautstärke im Dry-Signal.

Bei der Verarbeitung ist alles absolut Spitze, vor Allem fühlen sich die Potis und die Fußschalter sehr wertig an. Nur ist die Range des Clean-Potis bei mir anders als bei den anderen Potis (Start 4-5, Ende 2-3 Uhr im Gegensatz zu 7-8 bis 4-5 Uhr). Die Signale an sich hören sich 1:1 an wie eine direkte Schaltung, nur beim Entmuten gibt's einen "Knacks" - kann auch an meiner häuslichen Stromverbindung liegen (Altbau).

Alles in Allem, es hält was es verspricht und hat mich positiv überrascht, wie schnell es einen Platz bei mir gefunden hat. Über die kleinen Macken sehe ich gerne Hinweg. Sehr liebevoll verpackt und es macht dem oft gehörten Namen Old Blood Noise Endeavours definitiv alle Ehre.
