Top 7 string

Super 7 string voor het geld. Jaren geleden eens een 7 string gehad van een ander merk maar kon er niet aan wennen. Nu dan voor de Schecter gegaan. Helemaal gelukkig mee. Wat een beest. Enige minpuntje is de kwaliteit van de push-pull potmeter. Deze is wat goedkoop. Voor de rest een meer dana prima instrument!

Good guitar, but not for me.

I really liked the guitar when I first had it in hands, and the I bumped into the first problem. I couldn't really get used to the 26,5 radius. The guitar looked okay, but the quilt wasn't too visible on the guitar, the push/pull put felt a little cheap and that's not what I expected. Over all, a good guitar, but not the best I ever used.

First of all i have to mention that it came with really low action!
I got this guitar for recording and production the second album of my band.

The construction is really great to, it feels solid and surpisingly its not a heavy guitar (compared to the omen extreme 6 fr from 2006 which i happen to own)
The wood used is great, well balanced resonance without nasty mids/low-mids boost.

The neck is great, really comfortable and thin. Even though i prefer bulkier necks cause i m a bassist and i got used to their feel, but this one felt natural, just right! The fretwork is more than expected for this price, or for any price! No fretbuzzing on single frets.Also the 26.5 inches neck provides a great control on the B string without floppyness.

Now about the looks of this guitar, it has a dark greenish color and not "black" as advertised but still it did not affect my hype at all.
The rosewood fretboard is darker than the pictures of the advertisment and its something i prefer. The binding looks great too even at the connection points (headstock connections with neck etc)

Soundwise this guitar rocks. The pickups are more than enough for this price range but its the only thing i would upgrade in order to get this guitar to sound like a fully profesional instrument

If you want a really great instrument without any flaws, here you go !

The guitar is very good for the price, Very nice frethboard end harware.
2 very small issues: Volume pots are inverted (bridge vs neck).
There is a very small impefection on the's neck varnish. You can't feel it by hand but is visible.

Pick ups are more than ok for this prace range and all other aestetic facts are perfect.
