A Xiao with good quality

A nice xiao, comes with a detailed package. For someone who is interested in the Chinese engraved letters, it is "青山隐隐水迢迢，秋尽江南草未凋，二十四桥明月夜，玉人何处教吹箫。" Written by Mu Du, he is a famous poet from Tang dynasty. Well, just kinda hard to translate it one by one with characters, it is a Chinese poem describing a scene that the author is standing by the river, gazing afar the mountain, even if it is autumn already, the grass has not turned yellow yet in Jiangnan ( southern part of China, this is where his friend lives), all he can reall is the peaceful night in Jiangnan, the river, the bridges, wandering around with his friend, he is wondering where his friend is and if he is teaching Dongxiao with the beauty (the poet is joking with his friend apparently). This poem convey the feeling that the poet misses his friend in Jiangnan.

For Very Little Money

Can't fault it all for the price. After I got used to playing the flute, I filed out the blowing end to make it more authentic. This made it slightly harder to play but after I got used to it, it became easier and the higher register became so much better sounding. I don't do any performing with this flute, it's just for the fun and challenge and which is very enjoyable.

Nice instrument but requires a lot of practice and a good set of lungs to make it sound good.

Love it! Sturdy, beautiful flute, thinner than others which gives it a unique sound. I want to give the sound a 4,5 grade, but nothing is perfect. Struggled to begin with with the lowest tones, and I get a better C (also called nr 4) by just playing as B(3) and removing the finger under. Recommended!
