Great chinrest albeit too high, doesn't fit my viola

My viola height is 42 mm, and two barrels provided are both too large for this size. The smallest barrel with the rest of the chin-rest comes to about 44 mm, which is too high. I had to improvise a rubber insert for now to use the chin-rest, otherwise it's quite good.

Bin vom seitlichen Kinnhalter auf diesen Flesch-Mittelkinnhalter umgestiegen, um meine Haltung zu verbessern. Er ist symmetrisch gebaut, gut ausbalanciert und lässt sich problemlos an der Bratsche befestigen. Außerdem ist er für einen Holzkinnhalter vergleichsweise leicht, was beim Spielen sowohl der Schulter guttut als auch überraschend positiv auf den Klang wirkt. Er liegt relativ hoch, sodass er für Spieler mit arg kurzem Hals möglicherweise den Nacken zu sehr belastet. Muss man ausprobieren.
Kinnhalter sind bekanntlich sehr individuell, einen Universal-Tipp gibt's da nicht. Der hier ist auf jeden Fall sorgfältig gearbeitet, Material und Verpackung sind hochwertig: Sehr schönes Produkt, dass meiner Schulter lange Proben wieder erträglich macht.
